Beijing Renze High School is the first private high school in Xicheng District supported by the government, operated by the state-owned enterprise and managed by professional educators. After Zhengze, Runze, Huize, and Chengze Schools, the Financial Street Education officially launched Renze as a new member of their “Ze” Series schools.

Facilities

Renze is located at No. 74 Xinjiekou North Street, Xicheng District, in the Shichahai historic and cultural area, a core district of Beijing. The total land area is approximately 20,000 square meters, with a total building area of over 16,000 square meters. Of this, Phase I covers approximately 14,000 square meters with a building area of around 11,600 square meters, while Phase II covers about 6,000 square meters with a building area of approximately 4,600 square meters. Currently, Phase I of the campus is in operation, including classrooms, laboratories, recording classrooms, specialty classrooms, an open theater, and student club activity rooms. Phase II is scheduled to open in August 2025, and will include facilities such as a basketball court, auditorium, gymnasium, cafeteria, and multi-purpose room (MPR). The campus design combines elegant ancient courtyard architecture with modern artistic visual expressions and diverse learning and activity spaces, to create a refined, warm, and technology-infused campus environment.

To support the operation of the school’s diverse elective courses, the school is equipped with ample teaching spaces. In addition to 24 regular classrooms, the school has planned and built a high-standard library, reading rooms, an academic lecture hall, an “aerial” café, subject-specific smart laboratories, an AI-driven learning district, a campus TV station, a studio, an art corridor, an art creation studio, a master creative workshop, an AI and VR experience center, a STEAM innovation practice center, a visual creation center, and aesthetic education spaces (such as baking, tea art, flower arrangement, hand painting, etc.). Supporting facilities include a gym, an indoor basketball court, badminton, and table tennis halls, a fencing hall, an outdoor rock-climbing wall, a graffiti wall, a smart athletic track, and a multifunctional sports field, all of which provide robust support for the students’ diverse development.

Upholding the value of “patriotic sentiment with a global perspective”, Renze High School aims to cultivate high-quality talents that possess both the patriotic sentiment and a global vision with its unique importance to the principle of integration, Renze High School fully explores the cultural profundity of Ren and Ze, the two Chinese characters comprising the name of the school.

Ren, “Humanity or Benevolence” in English, has always been the spiritual core of the Chinese traditional culture, which is illuminated in such classic axioms as follows:A Benevolent Person Loves Others. Humanity can only be accomplished by each individual himself. Do not inflict upon others what you yourself would not want.Humanity comes whenever I think of it.Those who are capable of realizing five virtues in the world may be called men of humanity, viz. reverence, tolerance, integrity, intelligence and generosity.As the fundamental tenet of the ancient Chinese ethics, Ren (Humanity or Benevolence) embodies the spiritual essence of the Chinese humanistic inheritance and provides guidance and standards for both personal cultivation and administrative governance.

The original meaning of “Ze” is “a place where water and grass gather and grow”, which infers an environment of tolerance, nourishment and freedom. Another meaning of Ze is “lustre or light reflected from metallic objects”, implying unique individuality, agile intellectuality and the pursuit of excellence, which is highly compatible with the Western humanism that emphasizes individual dignity, liberty and values.

Renze High School advocates "integrative education", which organically combines Confucianism and humanism to foster a harmonious development of individuality, sociality and culturality. We facilitate independent selection of integrative courses, meaningful teaching practices centering on the value of life, cooperative education characterized by multipolar management, and awareness-based academic maturation, so as to construct a democratic, liberal, harmonious and innovative paradigm of ecological education.

The essence of "integrative education" may be delineated in three dimensions. The first is the dimension of individuality, cultivating the students' self-acceptance, self-management, self-confidence and enterprising spirit, which manifest in self-respect, self-discipline, self-confidence and self-improvement of an individual. The second is the dimension of sociality, building harmonious co-existent relations between teachers and students, between school and families, and between school and the society, developing the students' communicating skills, self-adjusting capabilities, empathetic spirit and a sense of social responsibility, which manifest in the harmonization of a community.
